Lauren Rogerson (she/her)

Run Director

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

Lauren Rogerson (she/her) joined The Endo Network’s Run To End Endo™ team in 2022 as a volunteer run director for her home province, Prince Edward Island. Lauren grew up exhibiting signs of endometriosis, but in 2015, she became consistently ill. After two years of bedridden symptoms and being dismissed and refused endometriosis testing, she was referred to a specialist surgeon in St. Louis, Missouri. Through laparoscopic surgery, she was diagnosed and treated for Allen-Masters Syndrome, described as the sister condition to endometriosis.

Throughout this journey, Lauren became aware of the barriers surrounding an endometriosis (and related conditions) diagnosis and treatment, including a lack of general knowledge and resources. Thanks to her innovative surgeon, she completed her Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Biology and Psychology. Now with a burning passion for endometriosis awareness combined with her love for science, Lauren’s goal is to become an OBGYN.

In addition to bringing The Endo Network’s Run To End Endo™ to Charlottetown, PEI in 2022, Lauren has also collaborated with endometriosis experts in providing endo education lesson plans to grade 7-12 classes across PEI and in other parts of North and South America. She also sits on an Endometriosis Task Team panel for PEI’s Department of Health to provide further public awareness and clinical team support. Lauren looks forward to continuing her role with TENC and creating community support and awareness for Endo Warriors across Prince Edward Island.

Lauren is grateful to live, work and gather on the traditional territory of the Beothuk and Mi’kmaq peoples.
